I came to Alabama from Georgia to pursue my education at Samford University.  I decided to stay in the Birmingham area, and received my Master's degree in counseling from the University of Montevallo.  Serving others has always been at my core.  


I began in private practice in June of 2006, and have been serving clients from all over central Alabama.  

I have been working in private practice since June of 2007.  Since the beginning I have had a focus on treating adolescents and adults struggling with various forms of anxiety and depression.  In 2008 I completed an advanced certification in the treatment of sexual addiction, and I am proud to be one of the few Certified Sexual Addiction Therapists in Alabama.  ​

Insurance Filing


Medical insurance companies vary in how and what they cover as far as counseling services.  I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, and several other states.  I also accept American Behavioral and Behavioral Health Systems.
